5th BARIATRIC & METABOLIC SURGERY TRAINING & FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME
A 3 Day Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery Training & Fellowship Programme was successfully conducted at LASER, SAIMS. Course Convener Dr. Mohit Bhandari gave Didactic Lecturer. session on Endobariatric & complications of Bariatric Surgery. He gave Endoscopy Training on animal model & Live Tissue. Live Operative workshop conducted. The participants from India & abroad took part in the Training.

"OSSUM" MASTRY IN ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY SKILL
A 3 Day Orthopaedic Surgery Skill Training program "OSSUM" was conducted at LASER, SAIMS. Dr. John Ibnejar from Bangalore inaugurated the program. On this occasion Dr. P.N.V.S.V. Prasad, Khammam (AP), Dr. Harshad M. Shah, Bangalore, Dr. Amrit Oswal, Pune were also present. Guest trained the PGs on Cadaver, handson & bone model.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP ON BARIATRIC ANAESTHESIA
A Pre-Conference CME on Bariatric Anaesthesia was conducted on 25th December 2102 at LASER, SAIMS. The National Conference of Indian Society of Anesthesiologists, held in Indore on 25th - 29th December 2012. Many delegates from India & abroad took part in the conference.

WHO WORKSHOP
A two days workshop on "Standardizing Semen Analysis-WHO 2010 Criteria" was observed at SAIMS in Dept. of Reproductive Medicine on 28-29th Oct. 2012. The lead faculty was Dr. Daniel Franken, Director of Reproductive Research Lab of University of Stellenbosch, Tygerberg.
TROPACON - 2012
A three days National Workshop of Microbiology "Tropacon 2012" held at SAIMS. Pre-Conference CME was inaugurated by Dr. D.P. Singh (VC, DAVV, Indore). Dr.D.P. Lokwani was the Chief Guest (VC, MP Medical University), inaugurated the Conference.
GASTRIC BYPASS COURSE & PG UPDATE
A two days Gastric Bypass Course & PG Update was organised at SAIMS on 6th & 7th October 2012. Dr. Robert Rutledge, Director Center for Laparoscopic Obesity Surgery, USA & Dr. Shashank Shah, President, Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society of India gave lectures & contacted Gastric Bypass course.
